Munich

SEE

Englischer Garten- One of the nicest parks I’ve ever walked around.  It is so gorgeous and calming.  I spent most of my time at the Chinese Pagoda, drinking a beer and people watching.  You could spend an entire day at this park.

Deutches Museum-World’s largest science & tech museum.  My favorite room was the music room.

Muller’sches Volksbad- Beautiful Art Nouveau Bathhouse

EAT

Augstiner Keller- I enjoyed a giant portion of food called, Schweinebraten (pork roast), and a giant mug of beer outside in the garden. Perfect first meal in Germany.

Zum Augustiner- You come here for the sausage (traditional white sausage of Munich), and it does not disappoint.

Osteria Italiana- The best Italian food I’ve had, since I was in Italy.  A traditional Italian restaurant opened in 1890 that is still serving delicious food.

DRINK

Café Dallmayr- Classic café with great service

Café Luitpold- I went for the black forest cake, but the environment is great and the service is good.

Hofbrauhaus- A lot of history here: some good, some bad.  Now it’s a nice place to listen to traditional music and have a giant beer.

Falk's BarFalk’s Bar is located in the famous hall of mirrors dating back to 1839, the only room at Hotel Bayerischer Hof to survive the Second World War unscathed. I came here mostly for the look of the walls.  It’s in a hotel so it loses a bit of cool points automatically, but the bartenders are friendly and it’s perfect for an after dinner drink of Fernet Branca.
